What could be better than Piuma? Piuma XL!
This super bulky version single ply roving yarn will enchant you, they make the most beautiful soumaks and weaves. Each skein is a large 200g.

Made with our extra fine merino wool tops it’s slightly more twisted to ensure strength but at the same time intensified volume. Super easy to work with, both knitted and crocheted, when it’s worked this yarn tends to puff up even more and get chunkier.

As always the dyes are Oeko-Tex standard 100 certified and the wool fibre that’s used is mulesing-free. As real beauty is large and sustainable.

An extra tip: the pure wool roving may close slightly (don’t get felted!) with the first few washes. If you’re working Piuma XL with really big needles or do openwork, keep this in mind and remember to change the needles and measurements accordingly. You might find it useful to make a sample of the stitch and wash it before doing the actual project.

Fibre Content 100% mulesing-free merino
Weight super bulky (5-6 WPI)
Yardage 200g / 100 m / 109 yd

ABOUT DHG DYEING HOUSE GALLERY Dyeing House Gallery was founded in 2008. Almost by chance but, from the very beginning, with absolute determination. The fundamental encounter with Eva Basile, the discovery of the art of textiles and of felt. The decision to unite attracting opposites: craftsmanship and industry. The awareness of having an important, precious card to play: our mother company, Gruppo Colle, has been dyeing fibres and yarns since 1952, which gave us a deep knowledge of the world of textiles. An ambitious, fascinating challenge was right in front of us.

Today, 150 wool colors later, DHG is a solid reality with distrubutors, retailers and above all friends and clients all over the world. Its team has been growing, because we never run out of ideas and there is always someone who's willing to be part of this adventure. From a small town in Tuscany, Prato, we keep telling our story of love for textiles. A passion which was sparked 60 years ago but which still makes our heart beat just as fast as the very first day.
