Woohoo!! It's the school holidays and it's time to get your crafty little fingers to work!
Since we debut punch needling in Singapore, it's gaining so much popularity and we get many comments this craft is gonna be perfect for kids. So, we designed a full-day punch needle and sewing 101 workshop this March holiday especially for little fingers and mighty minds.
Each child will be designing his/her very own favourite animal plushie then get punching with hand-dyed organic cotton yarn which makes the plushie extra squishy and fluffy.
A nutritious and delicious homecooked lunch will be served (did we mention Teacher Autumn is an excellent cook? 👩🍳 ).
Sewing 101! We will spend the rest of the day cutting up fabric, learn basic (life saving) sewing techniques and how to embellish and accessorise your plushie with buttons, pompoms and tassels. Finally, stuff them with fluffy cotton wool – no synthetic filling!
We designed the lesson plans making sure the techniques taught are age appropriate with guided challenges along the way to push the child’s learning ability. The workshop is also broken down into manageable bite-sized sessions to keep things interesting. Our class size is kept small (limited to 6 slots) to ensure each child gets a good amount guidance and attention from our instructor.
Each child will leave the workshop feeling inspired and having a sense of achievement as they are now equipped with the skill to design, sew and handcraft meaningful and unique textile goods.
Suitable for children 6-12 years old.
Lunch time will be at 12.30pm, please indicate any allergies in the remarks section during check out. Water and snacks will also be provided in class.
