I am Autumn, the creative director and founder of With Autumn. I started With Autumn with the mission to spread the word about traditional fibre crafts and share my journey in natural dyeing, responsible textiles and mindful design.
At With Autumn, we work with craftsmen, artisans and farmers around the world who have been performing their craft for generations and employ fair trade practices that take care of their social and environmental well-being. Our aim is to celebrate the joy of these artisans and keep the age old traditional crafts alive through workshops, modern design and our retail store.
My career began in graphic design, branding and advertising, and later F&B after completing a full time diploma majoring in modern Asian and Italian cuisines. I worked as a chef in several fine dining establishments and then spent quite a few years distributing butchery products to hotels and restaurants where I learnt a lot about running a business from the ground up.
With these skills and experiences, I find myself being able to develop creative processes that work with modern day applications and needs. I strive to push the boundaries of traditional craft techniques to achieve designed pieces that are timeless, relevant and functional.
