6D5N Natural Dyes Of Asia Retreat

Discover the art and science of natural dyeing on an enriching retreat set in the tranquil surroundings of Sukasantai Farmstay, an organic farm-resort in Sukabumi, West Java. This all-inclusive experience (excluding flights and optional add-ons) offers an inviting introduction to natural dye plants of Asia.
Through artist-led sessions, you’ll learn fibre preparation, mordanting, and dye extraction, and start your own “Dye Atlas” with more than 48 colours! Experience indigo dyeing to achieve beautiful blues, experiment with lake pigments, and express your creativity by painting your own mudcloth, all in our alfresco dye studio surrounded by peaceful greenery.
Be inspired in special workshops led by guest artists on Eco-printing, and Painting on Textiles with Sukabumi Earth Pigments. You’ll enjoy home-cooked fresh, farm-to-table meals daily, and take part in farm activities such as vegetable harvesting, cow milking, bamboo forest treks and take a visit to an essential oils distillery, and cozy bonfire gatherings.

NOTE
1) Flights are not included, you will need to purchase your own flight to Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK).
2) Participants will be sharing rooms during the retreat (rooms are either 2 or 3 pax). If you are joining with friends or family, please leave a note during check out as well, this will help us allocate rooms.
3) If you wish to have a room to yourself, you will need to purchase both Full Package and Guest Package.
4) Each masterclass participant is welcome to bring a maximum of two guests who are non-participants, to come along for a relaxing nature retreat. Guests not participating in the masterclass will enjoy a free & easy stay with the same full board accommodation benefits, join everyone in the bamboo weaving workshop, and experience dyeing a bandana with indigo.

HOW TO BOOK !!! IMPORTANT !!!
1) Select your desired package and proceed to check out, but do not pay the full amount yet! Simply pay a deposit of $200 via PayNow to UEN 53387171M to secure your spot, this is to ensure fuss-free refunds in the unlikely case when the retreat is cancelled.
2) Please also do not book your flights at this point, we will update you when the retreat is confirmed. You will then pay the balance amount and proceed to book your flights.
Read before booking your flight. We have arranged return airport transfers, please arrive at the airport before 11am (Jakarta Time) for pick up. You may also follow our recommended flight times below when booking your flights.

We do not recommend you to book flights outside of the recommended time as you will then have to arrange your own transportation or top up for a separate arrangement.
Participants joining us from other parts of the world, we highly recommend that you arrive one day before and stay one extra night at the farm, or in Jakarta then travel to the farm the next morning. Please email us and we will elaborate more about the arrangement.
