Moppari mop yarn is a double twisted yarn, made by Suomen Lanka, in Finland, with regenerated cotton. With a mix of 80% recycled cotton and 20% polyester, Moppari is a highly durable yarn for crocheting, macramé and carpet weaving projects that call for extra durability. Moppari mop yarn is made of upcycled cotton coming from the leftovers of textile industry. The yarn itself is not dyed, the colours of the yarn form from mixing together different colours of leftover materials.

To add durability to the fiber, there is 20% polyester mixed with the recycled cotton material. Moppari comes in 1 kilo cones and each cone has approximately 300 meters of yarn. The thickness of the Moppari yarn is around 3mm.

Moppari mop yarn is one of our most favoured yarns and widely used especially in macramé. The yarn is easy to work with, even for beginners and the twist is possible to open if you want to comb or add tassels to your macrame piece.
