This beautiful hand spun, hand woven scarf is crafted from 100% wild silk fibre.
Wild silk is also known as peace silk or ahimsa silk. The fibre is harvested from cocoons of wild silkworms that feed on forest foliage rather than farmed mulberry leaves, the harvest only happens after the wild silkworms have emerged.
Unlike regular silk, the resulting wild silk fabric has a golden-beige hue, and a textured hand. It is unbleached, durable and has a wonderful drape. We love it for how easily it dyes too.
