Jolyne, mother of two boys aged five and two, is the founder of Mandarin Learning Tours, a concept born from her family’s homeschooling and worldschooling journey. This retreat reflects her holistic, joyful approach to language learning - one that invites parents and children to explore Mandarin together through play, curiosity, and shared discovery.
Together with Autumn Brown, founder of WithAutumn, artist-educator, natural dyer, and former fine dining chef, families will immerse in creative and culinary workshops - from indigo dyeing and paper-making to cooking with freshly harvested farm produce.
Guided by early childhood specialists from Beijing, this 5D4N farm adventure blends play, nature, and language into an unforgettable family experience of learning, connection, and wonder.

5D4N Masak, Makan, Mandarin! Family Retreat
Date: 27-31 January 2026
After clearing customs at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), participants will gather and head to Sukasantai Farm in our arranged transportation. After settling in to your respective rooms, we will commence the farm tour which will help familiarise yourself with the area. A comforting dinner will be served and you can relax next to the bonfire before turning in.
We start each day early as breakfast will be served between 6.30-8am, lunch around 12pm, and dinner around 5.30pm, with snack and tea breaks between meals. Evenings are usually free and easy and some winding down after a day of activities.
Sukasantai Farm is situated 1000m above sea level and has a cool and comfortable temperature all year round, which means there is no need to use air-conditioning or heater. Temperature in the day ranges from 23-28ºC and drops to 15-20ºC at night, you'll get to enjoy fresh, crisp air throughout your stay here.

Limited to 8 families. Flights and travel insurance are not included, you will need to purchase your own flight to Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK).

We do not recommend you to book flights outside of the recommended time as you will have to arrange your own transportation or top up for a separate transport arrangement.
Participants joining us from outside of Singapore, we recommend that you arrive one day before and stay one night in Jakarta then join our airport transfers to the farm the next morning. Please email us and we can elaborate more about the arrangement.
